  solid, reliable, great solution for work or home. Bought 2. At work, I can backup my "active" files from my workstation, which makes it easier to migrate to new workstation, which seems to happen about once every year or two. Also, I don't risk losing tools and scripts that I use every day.

  I ordered up a cloud backup service, which is taking forever to back up my computer. With all the things I want to back up, including copies of my other external drives, the drive made a lot of sense, especially when the price point hit a great value for me. I decided to use the Seagate Dashboard with this one and it's already backed up all of the drives in my computer in just one afternoon and so far only .63TB used. Fabulous!

  Works great and is super small for easy storage when not in use. I prefer seagate for all of my external hard drives at home and work because I have never had one quit on me. Other brands have gone from working fine to won't even mount almost instantly with no prior hints of trouble.

  Small and compact and can hold 2TB with ease. Cloud storage is great but with file sizes getting so large, even 50GB of cloud storage is not enough to store multiple years worth of pictures. The plug and play is one of the best features I love about this device as well as how quickly files upload. I'm not talking blistering speed but when transferring over 14 GB worth of pictures,this device is a champ!

  I have decided to buy two. I use a lot of HDDs and portable HDDs. I love WD drive but they seem to die very quick. The problem that I have with the Seagate drives is that they are lacking compatible with a lot of divides; however they have never died on me before.This drive is work for me so far so I'll give it a 5 stars.

  I've had one of these for over a year as a backup, plug it in for a few hours a few times a week for the past year. Bought three more last month; So, when they work, they work great. Also look great if that's important.

  This is the only external hard drive I trust, so I now own multiple to cover all my personal & work devices. It is extremely easy to use, quick to configure, & compact so you can bring it with you everywhere. I backup my computer files weekly to ensure safe keeping & Seagate provides me with the peace of mind that no matter what happens to my system I will be taken care of.

  Decided to get rid of the computer in place of a laptop and needed and external drive to store all of my files and photos. Having about 100,000 photos, I needed something with a good amount of space and this guy worked perfectly with more than enough extra space as well.

  This is pretty slick. I take a ton of sports photos & quickly ran out of space to store them. Initial backups take a long time, literally happened over several days, but when it fails, it picks up where it left off last. Mobile backups take a ton of patience over WIFI, but it will eventually complete.

  I love the size of this thing even though it has massive storage capability. It's small enough to almost be able to fit into a large shirt pocket. I do wish it came with a foam lined hard shelled zip-up case, but I"m sure I can find one online like I want, but it's one thing that could make this portable hard drive even more amazing. Love using this as a back up for pictures, also perfect when going to see family so you can take along all of those photos you've been wanting to share. So far though, I have nothing to complain about, works fast and is small despite it's huge storage capacity.
