Reviews of New Smartwatch A9 Bluetooth Smart Watch for Apple iPhone & Samsung Android Phone:
I got my watch about a week ago and I've tried most everything on it so I could give a good review. I was originally looking for a fitness watch or band but none of them had all of the features I wanted. Plus they were so expensive! So when I found this I was really excited because it had even more cool things than the fitness bands had. I have an iPhone 6 and this watch paired easily with it. The instructions & process to set up are simple. You have to download the Mediatek Bluetooth app in order for all of the functions to work.SIZE: I'm a woman with a small wrist and this watch is slightly large for me as you can see in the photo. I have to fasten it on the last holes. If your wrist is extremely small I would say this watch probably won't fit you. It's about the size of a men's Apple watch.APPS: you can't download apps to this device but you really don't need to since it comes with nearly everything.SLEEP TRACKER: I used this twice and it was accurate both times. It doesn't break down the info but gives an overall "good" or "poor" rating.HEART RATE MONITOR: this works well & can be set to continuous or a one time check.PEDOMETER: this seemed to be accurate without counting other movements.SEDENTARY REMINDER: you can set this to almost any interval you want.CALENDAR: shows day and month views but no personal info. It does show up in notifications when you have something scheduled.NOTIFICATIONS: it shows all notifications that you have set on your phone. The same ones keep showing up if you go in & out of range of phone unless you clear them from your phone. I set everything to vibrate otherwise there's always some kind of notification going off.TEXT MESSAGES: you can receive & read them but not reply. It even translates the sound I have set for texts on my phone (wind chimes).ALARM: works if you have notifications set to sound.STOPWATCH, CALCULATOR, VOICE MEMO, DIALER: all work. CONTACTS: these show up when it's connected to your phone. BLUE TOOTH MUSIC: when you initially open this app sometimes it says "this function not supported by your device" (I think this is when it's not connected to Bluetooth) & other times it says "failed to sync with phone" if you hit retry it will connect and you can play Pandora or Amazon Music or whatever else you want! Amazing! REMOTE CAPTURE CAMERA: works when the camera is open on your phone. CALLING/MICROPHONE: I have had no problems with people hearing me or hearing others while using the phone! This was a surprise since someone else had mentioned having a problem with this. CHARGING: the charging port is the long "button" under the power button. You need to pull it out to plug in the charger which is universal!! BE CAREFUL when you pull this cover open! It is held by a rubber tether and could potentially be torn off. Once the watch has been fully charged it will hold for about 12 hours. In conclusion, I would highly recommend this watch to someone who wants lots of cool features for significantly less than a $700! To be clear though, this will not do all of the things an Apple watch will do. Overall I'm really pleased with my purchase!
The watch is well designed and looks like the Apple watch (I think it has better value for money). Bluetooth pairs up fine with my phone. I also inserted my GSM sim and it works fine as well. But pedometer can not offer an exact number it have a little deviation . Battery life is ok as i charge once a day..(this might deteriorate with use) so I'm hoping i can order spare batteries when required. Overall 5 stars . Cheers.
So many features on a single device. You are basically getting a smart watch that is also a cellphone if you use it with a Sim card. The use of sim card allows you to make incoming or outgoing phone calls and SMS without needing it to be paired with a smart phone device. It support memory card up to 32gb . The device is equipped with a pedometer for exercise monitoring. There is camera to shoot VGA quality pictures and videos if you need to. There is even a speaker that works. You can talk to people directly through the watch or play music if you happen to forgot your headphones at home.
Bought this as a gift for a friend on his birthday. He said good things about it. I can see that he is happy with it. He wears it regularly and has paired it with his phone. I think I will get on for myself as well.
I have heard many great things about the A9 from friends and relatives. The watch is very helpful during business meetings or lunches. I can just look at my wrist and not reach for my phone. The gold/black color combination looks good and gives a luxurious feel when accompanied with suits. I would definitely buy it again if something happens to this one.
For the price the watch is a good product. It has a built in camera (which you might not want to use for quality home movies) and the mic is not bad. You can also install a micro SSD. That is great! In addition, once you figure out how to download custom ring tones your notification and ringtone experience will improve dramatically, because the default ringtones suck (and I mean hard). Overall, I do like the watch. I wish it had calendar and email integration. In addition, more selectable watch screen would also be nice (it comes with tree options). For that amount of memory it should have many more to choose from.
I usually carry my phone in my handbag, making it hard for me to hear is someone's calling. My folks get worried easily and get mad at me for not picking up their calls. Now I can always know if they are calling me and I can talk to them directly via the watch. Battery life is very good and there is FM radio too!
Works well with my iPhone 7. I like the ability to check my watch to find out who is calling or texting without taking out my phone from the bag. The finish is good and the color doesn't seem to fade easily. The camera is okay okay, you can store a lot of pictures on the watch itself. The customer support guys are helpful.
First off, I am using this with my Galaxy S5 and my Galaxy Tab 2. Pairs up with both phone and tablet WITH EASE. I primarily bought it to use as a hand free device for when I am driving and so I don't have to constantly pull out my phone every time I get a alert/notification. In that sense, it's does what I wanted it to do. When driving, the speaker volume and quality is pretty clear. Obviously not as loud as your phones speaker, but loud enough. I have not had any complaints from the person I am speaking to as well. So I am guessing the mic works just fine. Just keep in mind that it is always on speaker phone so be mindful if you have passengers in your car or are out in public. If keeping your conversations private is a concern, then a Bluetooth earpiece may be a better alternative.Text notifications are immediate. The screens resolution isn't the greatest but fine for reading the text messages. I do believe you can also change the font size. This watch (unlike most of the others) CAN reply to texts as well. The size of the touch screen key board makes it quite difficult to cleanly hit the desired letters so replying to text should be done LATER, with your phone. The responsiveness of the touch screen is good. One thing I frequently find myself using the watch for is using it as a remote for my tablet. At work, I hook my tablet up to the radio and use it as a mp3 player. From about 20-15 feet away, I can skip tracks. This prevents me from constantly walking across the room to adjust the volume or skip tracks. This is pretty much all I use the watch for. So, for what I use it for, I think this watch is great. I have tried to use the remote capture feature with my S5's camera, but it failed to open the camera function. I'm sure if I spend time fiddling with it, I could get it to work. I have taken pics using the watches camera and sent it to my tablet and phone, via Bluetooth. The camera is pretty harsh but I didn't expect it to be great. There is a blurry border around the edge of the pics, probably due to the lens itself. It almost looks like there is a water color filter on it.All things considered, I feel that I got my money's worth. I have been using it everyday, since the day I got it
it is my first smart watch. It is convenient to have your phone in your bag and check only your wrist to get all the notifications you need. The watch has outperformed my expectations and works without any issues. The speaker quality is amazing and the audio is very clear. The camera quality is okay and the bluetooth sometimes gets disconnected. I use it everyday at home or at the field.
Definitely a good enough smartwatch for the price. Good quality and classic design. It is the gold and black color watch. Looks nice and goes well with all kind of clothes. You get notifications for call, texts and ims. You can talk, reply and read on the watch only. Very useful in day to day life. Battery life is like a day at max, you can squeeze out a bit more if you can. I will say, go for it.
